Barrel Mouthpiece

The Bomber Barrel bits are tongue pressure bits. The Barrel joint limits the nut cracker action, which spreads the pressure over a larger area of the tongue and lessens the pressure on the bars. The Barrel allows for independent action on each rein. Please note, this bit exerts relatively sharper tongue pressure than the Elliptical due to the Barrel being smaller.

This bit will suit a horse that appreciates tongue pressure and can use that pressure as part of the contact. The barrel, like the ported barrel features ball and socket joints rather than links, and allow 360 degree rotation of the cannons. This makes the rein aids very independent and this has been known to help with horses that tend to lean on solid mouthpieces.

The mouthpiece is reasonably curved, creating a comfortable bend  to reduce pinch and spreads pressure points around the bars. The standard barrel 20 will be supplied unless otherwise specified.
