Pelham Cheekpeice

The Pelham has attachments for two reins, one near the mouthpiece and one at the end of the shank. For some horses or riders, rounders may be more appropriate and allow the bit to used with a single rein.

The Pelham shank will exert moderate poll pressure and leverage on the mouthpiece and curb. Careful adjustment of the curb chain is necessary, and it should be positioned so it does not begin to take effect until after the shank passes a 45 degree angle.

The Pelham comes in 2 standard shank lengths 55mm and 75mm. Unless specified otherwise, all orders come with a 55mm shank.

As with all Bomber products, more variations are available, and customs designs can be made to order. In the case pf pelhams there are polo and swales versions available as well as the standard version, and several other mouthpiece options available to order.
